He posesses some awesome skills in both photography and model building. The use of a platform to incorporate a natural background is genius. Thanks for sharing
Saw this years ago in an email. Had to see it again.
Thanks

Fans of classic cars should love this. You will need to see how he does this. A true artist.
I am not even into models and you are right, that IS amazing, the man IS a true artist ! WOW
these are awesome images. His attention to detail is impeccable.
I would have never known these were not real.
This man took great care, artistry, and attention to detail to make models look like the full size real thing.
Now, photographers use Lens Baby or TS lenses to make real life look like toys.
Unreal.
Unbelievable.
Amazing.
I just don't have the words to say how cool that is.
This was interesting and very educational. For the past 6 months I have been studying a friends large collection of models and wondering how to present them. Thanks for the post.
Thank you Sunrisepano, I had lost track of Michael Paul Smith's work. I have now saved to favorites and bookmarked him...he won't get away again. His work is so cool. His modeling and craftshmanship is as good as it gets. His ability to photographically blend his creations with real life backgrounds is genius. He also has one hell of a scale car collection.

Didn't go thru entire log, but did you note the shot of the finger gripped around the Studebaker? Don't know if it was intentional. Awesome HDR photography throughout.
I tried this with my model wooden ship. Does this look real?
