7 months ago i bought a $1000 MP-E macro lens cause i wanted and deserved it.
Canon lens won't fit a nikon so had to buy a cheap $1000 70D canon so i could use the lens.
Canon won't run a nikon flash so had to buy a $170 Sunpack flash.
Failing to flash occasionally, the Sunpack ruined more stacks than it completed and the 70D kills a battery in 200 shots so today i dropped by the store for a decent flash and a spare battery.

I know we should support our local stores but:
$68.45 for a battery and $576.49 for the flash.
Just a bit steep though i admit it did come with a fancy 363 page instruction manual.
I remember when a camera battery was a buck, a pro grade flash $50 and the only instruction manual you needed was the flash guide number.

Its no wonder people are shooting with cell phones and compacts and stores are closing.

  tigger, I recently ran a post suggesting that digital was possibly more expensive than shooting film today!!
Most told me that I was full of crap, and after the initial $50,000 investment, that Digital IS indeed free!!!
I'm still trying to figure out that logic!!!

I'm still trying to figure out why the improvement curve drops off so sharply after the first $2000 heading toward $50,000. I'm not going to try it myself though.

Shooting for large quality prints, film is a minor expence but either you have to be very very good or you will have to scan and digitally enhance your work to be competetive.
That can get real expensive.
Digital is here to stay.

Pick the most applicable:

1. The road where all of the best pubs are located

2. The other metaphorical end of the road, ..where it seems the only bathroom is located. At the end of the "road least traveled"...and it is out of order when you finally get to it.

3. The eventual dirt nap.
No pictures could match the technicolor visuals I know you must be experiencing now  :D

Tee, does that mean the if that one remaining good kidney, turns out to not be NOT so good, does the road actually get shorter, or do you just not get near as far on the road?!?!

Right! The dirt road up to the mountain top past the "The Traveler's Rest" , beyond the Church , that leads to "The Gravedigger's Arms", that great little secluded pub where the bell ringers hang out.

It's an idyllic little spot despite the decor. Hear the food's not much to write home about though. On the other hand they're sometimes quite accommodating when it comes to 'last call !'

If I recall correctly it's a toll road .

For me...that means...find the nearest bar, and forget about finding where the road ends.
Some want to know "when" it ends...I only care about "where"...because I AM AVOIDING THAT PLACE!!! :XD:

Alas...they are all toll roads. The most expensive I ever found was the entire road called " The Ex-Wife"...Turns out that was an 8 lane toll road.....

;)

Ouch, were you all side by side, in a convoy, or just all crammed into one vehicle in the HOV lane?

Not in Idaho, Utah, Arizona or Texas I hope!

Or does Transylvania give us a little bit of a clue. How do you do in sunlight?
