I just joined, I am going to be a photography student starting this fall, I have just gotten a very nice Nikon D3200 camera for my high school graduation gift from my parents. I am still learning about photography to help me out for my future career of becoming a professional photographer.

Some, if not many, photo education schools will start you with B&W film and darkroom processing to give students an understanding and experience of photography.

Not that everything about film photography is a direct transfer to digital. Digital photography is better and worse; easier and more difficult.

Enjoy your studies and always make time to have fun with photography.
