I took this photo at Glacier. I noticed some white spots. I am wondering what they are. Are they "hot pixels"?
SS: 2 sec
F-10
ISO: 100

It looks to me (by shadow detail) that you were shooting partly into the sun. Because of the long exposure it may be that the spots are washed out areas of rocks that were facing the sun. If these spots appear the same on all pictures, disregard my comments and have the sensor checked out.

That possibility occurred to me. "All pictures" doesn't just mean "All pictures of this scene".

A long exposure shot taken with the lens cap on would show up any stuck pixels (won't win any photo contests, though :) ).

Other than a few specular highlights on the dark rocks (easily removed in pp), I don't see any. Overall nice photo, but the upper falls highlights are not recoverable unfortunately. Very high dynamic range going on which could benefit from using HDR....

In the water bottom right, go full size and you can't miss them. Yeah, I'd be bummed about them as well.

Thanks I read the article. I counted 26 and my ISO was 100. Maybe the longer exposure made them show uo.

Ken Rockwell says every camera has them...I don't know if I buy that. Yours seem pretty big, if they are stuck pixels. I would definitely have it checked under warranty. What camera?
