I specifically buy mega-zoom point-and-shoot cameras not to bring very distant subjects closer but instead to "fill the frame" with relatively near subjects. Big difference in image quality when using a humble point-and-shoot, to be sure! I can't recall the last time I had to crop an image!

I would never have guessed that those weren't taken with a mid-range dslr & high quality lens. Good work!

Alas, they do! The Snowy Egret's feet are submerged in water in the original post. Sometimes yellow appears around the legs as well, as you can see in this photo, which really shows their yellow feet.
