While that sounds like an intriguing combination, I have no choice but to present them in their current, individual forms. Hope you enjoy them!

Hi nikonboy,

Alas, they do! The Snowy Egret's feet are submerged in water in the original post. Sometimes yellow appears around the legs as well, as you can see in this photo, which really shows their yellow feet.

Hi Steve,

While not exactly a mainstream career, I happen to wrestle Great Blue Herons professionally. We were merely engaging in our usual trash talk before the match. I'm currently 76-0 if you were wondering!

Superb shots. Mega zoom lens I'm assuming? Either that or you have a way with the birds.

Hello cameranut,

A combination of both, actually. I'm usually able to get very close to my subjects, which is very fortunate.

I specifically buy mega-zoom point-and-shoot cameras not to bring very distant subjects closer but instead to "fill the frame" with relatively near subjects. Big difference in image quality when using a humble point-and-shoot, to be sure! I can't recall the last time I had to crop an image!

Thanks for looking and commenting.
