Martian could substitute it as a beautiful scepter for the Great Wizard.

Thanks, Ray. It would make a heck of a boutonniere, too, lol.
Glad you enjoyed this one, and thanks as always for your visit and that thumb! Much appreciated!
Well, he sure chose beautiful ones, Randy! :)
Love the wildflower pic. Always glad to hear Martian's updates. Could this be the start of another adventure?

Thanks, Sue. Martian has a real eye for good-looking flowers, no doubt of it. And he'll do almost anything to bring home a specimen of something he wants. If that means riding a tornado to Oz, so be it.
That he landed on this occasion in the middle of the Munchkin mayor's chicken fricassee is unfortunate, but these things happen.
LOL
Thanks for looking and your kind comment, always much appreciated!

Thanks, RicknJude. Glad you enjoyed this one.
Martian makes frequent trips to Oz, and is usually welcomed there by the Fraternal Order of Wicked Witches (FOWW), most of whom are perhaps not-so-coincidentally also employees of the Ministry of Mayhem.
I shouldn't be at all surprised to find out Martian has plans for a prolonged stay in Oz, and might in fact have himself a new adventure there, as things haven't gone at all well for him here.
He may be leaving for Oz quite soon, unless he can find a way to separate out that unstable plutonium he's been using in his latest batch of fertilizer. I'm quite certain he'll want to get out of Dodge (or Kingston, in this case) if his garden explodes, before the police can catch him.
To that end, he has a suitcase already packed and sitting by the door.
I've heard a few explosions tonight, but they're only cherry bombs thrown by the neighborhood kids celebrating the 4th a bit early. If one of his plutonium plants had gone off, I think we'd know by the tell-tale mushroom cloud. Plus the town would have been vaporized, and far as I can tell from the traffic sounds, Kingston is still here (which is probably a good thing, but the jury's out on that)...
Thanks for stopping by and your kind comments, always much appreciated!
I like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent Randy---looks like Martian has already applied some fertilizer to them!

Thanks, Jim. Glad you enjoyed this. I'm thinking it would make a great boutonniere, but so far Martian has refused to let me pick one.
Darned cat!
Thanks for stopping by and your positive comment, always much appreciated!

Thanks, Swamp-Cork. Martian is very much a
carpe diem kind of a cat, and wastes no time getting things planted and fertilized. However, this one came directly from Oz as is. ; )
Thanks for your visit and kind words, always much appreciated!

Tuesday night's tornado carried the Martian off to Oz again. He apparently crashed down on Mayor's table in the middle of the Lollipop Guild's annual awards banquet, causing only minor damage (the Mayor's dinner was a total loss). Fortunately, the Guest of Honor, the Wicked Witch of the West, with her phobia about houses falling out of the sky, had been seated at her own request at the far end of the table and directly under a support beam, and so escaped injury.
As Martian had neither tickets for the event nor a tuxedo (required attire for the evening), the Munchkins threw him out. And the Mayor, thoroughly vexed at the loss of his supper, ordered him out of Oz forthwith.
Humans may need ruby slippers to leave Oz, but cats--being interdimensional beings--can come and go as they wish. Martian left, but not before gathering some wildflowers growing along the Yellow Brick Road to plant in his garden.

Very nice work Randy. I also have a great affinity to this theme due to a previous life experience dealing with Oz (another story for another time). I have, however, felt this to be a very magical land and am very pleased to see that Martian's pilfered tidbit goes towards confirming that belief.
BTW, have finally bitten the bullet and purchased Glow. More to follow...

Thanks, Dave. Glad you enjoyed this, but now I'm all agog to hear your own tale of Oz! Martian's told me stories of his travels there that would curl your hair, but it would be nice to have some independent confirmation of what must surely only be his slander and lies.
You'll be delighted with Glow. I keep finding things I can use it on, not limited to flowers and such. Don't be shy about using the overlay modes, either. Gives some really interesting effects. I'm hardly an expert, but glad to offer any help I can. Topaz does have a good tutorial and webinar on Glow, worth a look if you haven't already done so.
Thanks for your visit, always very much appreciated, and I look forward to seeing what you do with Glow!
