Tuesday night's tornado carried the Martian off to Oz again. He apparently crashed down on Mayor's table in the middle of the Lollipop Guild's annual awards banquet, causing only minor damage (the Mayor's dinner was a total loss). Fortunately, the Guest of Honor, the Wicked Witch of the West, with her phobia about houses falling out of the sky, had been seated at her own request at the far end of the table and directly under a support beam, and so escaped injury.

As Martian had neither tickets for the event nor a tuxedo (required attire for the evening), the Munchkins threw him out. And the Mayor, thoroughly vexed at the loss of his supper, ordered him out of Oz forthwith.

Humans may need ruby slippers to leave Oz, but cats--being interdimensional beings--can come and go as they wish. Martian left, but not before gathering some wildflowers growing along the Yellow Brick Road to plant in his garden.

Tippit says "Outstanding!! Great work!!" And gives Martian a few thumbs...

She hopes Martian might have a few left over Wildflowers that she can plant in her garden....

We have 2 Peony bushes next to the trailer, and I took a few shots of a pink one yesterday. Then I spent a couple of hours last night trying Glow and Simplify, and a few others, but couldn't quite get the "OOMPH" that you're famous for.... :?
I'll try again tonight.

Beautifully done as always, Randy. I thought raising three teenagers was a challenge until I began reading about what you go through with your cats. The kids eventually grow up and move away while the cats seem to be a gift that keeps on giving. :-D

Thanks, Frodo. Oz is, of course, quite real. I'm fairly certain that's where Martian got the formula for his plutonium fertilizer in the first place, as I've often noticed the similarities between his flowers and theirs.

He and the Cowardly Lion, being third cousins by marriage, often exchange gardening notes inside their Christmas cards. And between the two of us, I'll mention that the Martian has come home more than once a little tipsy from the annual Emerald City Barbeque and Tractor Pull.

Thanks for dropping by and your kind comments, always much appreciated!

Thanks, Angler. One of these days, they're really going to lock me up in that rubber room. But for now, I'm still on the loose. ; )

Glad you enjoyed this one, and thanks as always for your kind words and visit. Much appreciated!
