Does the wind make the ground shake and discolors everything as well?

This is a know problem of digital pixels. To create a new one the camera software checks what is a 'reasonable' approximation, using surrounding data and create a pixel then it checks again, and again. In the end this leads to to an error being propagated and multiplied.

The final result a blotchy picture that looks relatively ok when small but with distinctive discolorations and patches when magnified 1:1 or more. This is why I posted the 3 samples, to shows that the problem is in all the darker area. It also exists in lighter areas but is harder to see.
Does the wind make the ground shake and discolors ... (show quote)

I am thinking earth tremor or a P&S.

Did you shot his pic with tripod or hand held. With a telphoto? When shooting hand held telophoto you need to push your speed up at least one zero above your fstop.

I think EW is probably right. Extrapolated! Also, no tripod so camera shake. Exif data would be nice.

This shot really puzzles me. If you notice the tree on the left, in the foreground, is in relatively decent focus, and half dome, in the background is in good focus. The tree on the right, however, which is in between the two is way out of focus. Any explanations?

It appears to be a depth of field problem. The focus is on the mountain that is farther away, leaving the trees in the foregrond somewhat blurred. Try shooting a scene like this with a high aperture, such as F16. That should result in sharpness in the foreground, as well as the background.
