Challenge. Blur & B&W and even better, B&W Blurred. June 8 - 10, 2-15
looks to be an interesting challenge RR great idea
Thank you for hosting, RR. One of my favorite things to try is 'panning.' I have always wanted to try a shot like your #3. Great shots! Here is a collage of shots I took last week, trying to remember how to pan.

My killer question:
You pan a train, the train is clear but the background is blurred. OK. You then shoot the train, it is blurred but the background is clear. Would the blurred train be motion? Are blurs and motions in the same family?
Nice shots RR. I think that blur and motion are in the same family.

We went out on a night shoot last night with the St. Thomas Club. I worked on several things and tried zooming while the shutter was open. Got a few (not great, but will show an example of blur). Also some b/w.
Nice ones. Really like the effect in the first 2 of the fishermen on the pier.

One blurred set for tonight. Very windy today.
A slow shutter speed and a little wind, very nice.

I decided to go out at dusk tonight and see what some movement would do to my roses. The last one I took along the interstate (I was not on the interstate).
Very nice effects in the 2 sets.
We"re off in a blurrrrrr. I'll have to catch up later.

I tried moving water. The first 4 are HDR, B & W and color.
Most of the time that I have blurred images, I figure that it is me moving, and the subject standing still, but sometimes the subject moves. The more I play with this new camera of mine, the more blurred images I get because I'm not sure of what I am doing and can't get it focused right the first time...or so...but eventually, if I am able to take several pictures, I am able to get the shot I want.
I'm not sure what this was suppose to be, or what happened
Definatly movement is responsible for the blur here
Here, the camera focused on the back image, so the front image was blurred
Nice work. The last one is outstanding.

Terrific shots, E Mang. Looks like you've done these before. And it was probably smart to not be on the interstate.

Great idea, Jim. Here are some blurs all achieved by slow shutter speed.
