I was talking about the problem picture, not mine.

High ISO, underexposure, noise reduction not used.
It actually looks pretty good to me for ISO 3200. His hair may be a little over but the rest acceptable for a casual shot.
Thanks, CAM1017. Actually his hair just lacks contrast with the background. The only white near blowout is the nametag. But I displayed the picture to show how proper exposure and noise reduction can work to make an acceptable image even at a high ISO. My comment posted with the picture--"underexposure, high ISO, lack of noise reduction"--was in reference to the problem photo posted earlier.

Yeah I wasn't real impressed with that ... it didn't do the same experiment at a lower ISO .... show me one that proves that with an ISO of 100 .. :)
You asked for it
200 ISO DX40 Download and compare.
Had to reload both, using the same prtscr.
To any who think the 1/125 underexposed VS 1/25 does not show high noise I say download both and adjust level on the under exposed to match normal's level - EW's theory holds.
I am not sure what this picture has to do with the whole thread but then again, anything goes now.
