Contacted Sigma via phone and was told that they no longer have parts for the 80-400 Lens. Also was told they no longer service the 120-400 for the same reason. BUT, they told me that the 150-500 was heavily discounted at B&H and Adorama. I am now the proud owner of the 150-500 which seems to be a better lens than the 80-400. Also at B&H free 2 day shipping.

One good reason not to buy Sigma Lenses I had two that they could not repair .One lens only six month past warranty

Stan, if they no longer make parts for it, how can anybody fix it, unless they have another broken lens on a shelf, from which they can cannibalize the part?
Canon for example considers a lens to be "out of service life(oosl)", when they run out of even just one part. If during service they were to accidentally break or damage that one part, they would consider themselves no longer having the ability to repair that lens, so they completely stop servicing that particular model altogether.
Canon also publishes an estimate of when a particular camera or lens will reach the end of its oosl, based on parts availability and demand, so that pros can trade up or prepare to be on their own.
It's a reason to not keep some things forever just because they still work.
I will add, that Canon will keep making parts until that lens or camera are superseded by a newer model. ;-)

From what I could find the 80-400 was introduced 2004 the 120-400 in 2009.
