Post them here. We would all like to see a couple of them. Try to be more calm about uploads downloads etc. Computers don't permenantly delete pictures even if you hit the delete key or backspace key. They wind up in the Recycle or trash bin and are easily retrievable. You will do more damage by shutting off a computer unexpectedly in the middle of a task than just waiting for it to complete and calmly retrieve them from the recycle bin.

I'm glad you practiced on your daughter and her friend. You never know what to expect when you meet a new client and the whole studio might not come into play.

If you don't like reading manuals, then I suggest you try different settings and keep playing with them. After you are familiar with them download the PDF file for your camera and do a search on just the subject you are a little uncertain about. It's really easy to search a PDF file rather than look a some paper back manual with small fonts and bad images/diagrams. Search the PDF takes you right to the subject with a simple click of the mouse and you get right to the point.

ok so i took some shots with that light set up that we have been discussing here, of my daughters friend before the "client" showed up. they came out great. Problem is when I uploaded them to the camera I hit delete on a few of the pics that were before hers and before my eyes they started deleting so fast I had to shut off my computer for fear that the "clients" pictures would delete as well. As it turned out a few did but I was using some of the last pictures from the shoot. Ends up I did not use the light set up we have been discussing for the client I absolutely not get a good look. Should i post the shot here or on a new topic? New topic I think I know what I did wrong, since I spent the entire day yesterday with lighting tutorials and referring to other posts here. Long post ...sorry

You have the umbrellas facing the wrong way, the lamps fire into the umbrellas the reflected light then lights the subject, they also look a little close.

Check your flash synch mode. In normal mode/program and A exp modes, the shutter won't stay open longer than about 1/60 sec. Slow mode lets the shutter stay open as long as it needs to so dim ambient light can expose properly with flash.
For Rear Mode flash goes off as the shutter closes. So, ensure your in Normal Mode. Your commander is doing its job by triggering your lights, but probably too late. I had this problem once. I took a few shots of the lamps to see if they were going off, I physically seen the them flash, but the camera did not catch it. The camera was triggering the flashes to go off while the shutter was closing....too late.
