I got a DVD from B&H this AM and when I tried to install it Adobe asked for a 24 digit number. There is no 24 digit number on the box or in the DVD sleeves. Went on line to Adobe but might as well asked the scanner on my desk for what ever good they did.

Any one know where I can find the number?

You didn't get an email from B&H that has the number?

No, just looked and have not received anything from them. Is that the procedure?

I am not sure, but I would contact their customer service as they should know what the scoop is. I am pretty sure they will assist you.

I just loaded it on my computer. I had to cut a strip of tape which allowed the plain white box to slide out of the sleeve. It's on the white box of my copy.

Well I'll be daxmed! Just tore the box apart and there it is!

Thanks all for you help.

I believe you're talking about the serial number. It's on a corner of the plain white box inside the main sleeve. I, too, got mine from B&H.

It should be somewhere in the packaging or on the disc. The disc is the best location, but I don't think Adobe puts it there. that's why I prefer to download directly from the Adobe site. they will always have the number available, and you can re-download at any time.

Take a look here.

Call B&H tomorrow morning, and they'll have a solution.

EDIT: I just looked at my old PSE 11 packaging. There are three boxes: the outer box, an inner colorful box, and inside that is a plain white box containing the disc. On the rear of the white box is a sticker with the 24-digit code.

Good. You beat me to it. Adobe has to do a better job with their numbers. Be sure to register it with Adobe so you can get the program or number in the future.

I understand your confusion! INSIDE my box for PSE-13, there is a white 'sleeve' that pulls out. I finally found the SN on that sleeve. What a place to hide it!! Good luck.

It should be on the back panel of the box. That's where mine was -- just yesterday.

I think Adobe realizes that it's not the end of the world if you can't find the number. Just buy another copy of PSE. :D

Yeah Jerry, that could be one solution. Then one would be twice as confused :)

When I called Adobe that was about their solution!

Again thanks to all for helping find their hidden number.
