I'd like to create poster sized prints of some of my shots to hang on walls. Any suggestions (print shops or other methods)
I go to Sam's Club - $9.95 20X30 - Plenty big for me -
You can get a frame for it at Walmart for around $13 -
Looks great !

I've noticed that 20 x 30 seems to be the upper limit for most printing companies.

That is as big as Costco will go on regular and posterboard prints but they go up to 40" x 60" on canvas prints.

Thanks. Good to know. And they can do that online, without visiting the store?

WHCC prints up to 30x45+
Bay Photo prints up to 30x90
Mpix and Adorama Pix does 24x36
Poster print factory does up to 26x48
Vistaprint does 24x36
Printrunner does 27x39
There are dozens of print labs that will do larger than 20x30 and some will even apply a halftone screen for the larger sizes.
And I haven't even listed all the sign makers that go really big.
If you want the ultimate - I have access to a 12 color 60" wide Canon printer that will print up to 150' long, Pro Photo color gamut, full 16 bit printing, on your choice of papers or canvas.
PM me if you have the budget.

I own a sign company and print 60" wide by as long as needed. We go larger by tiling the prints. For a more artistic look, we produce canvas prints mounted on wood frames.
To change the subject, you do not have to resize the file to the final print size. It gets too large and the printer does it automatically from the original size without loss of quality. All you have to do is crop to the final aspect ratio.
Our local Walmart Super store can print 36 x 48 and they use a high end Fugi printer. They use HP printers for small prints like 4x6 to 11x14. The large prints have been spot on which was a pleasant surprise.
FedEx can print larger than you would ever need
