A few weeks ago I bought a Quick Action Harness. It cost $375 with shipping. After placing my order, I got an e-mail saying that it was being shipped and showing a Kirk Enterprises quick release mount that they suggested be used. It cost $135. That's a total of $510.
Although bulky, I liked the QAH until I saw the Steady Shot by Cotton Carrier. It cost $319, plus 2-day shipping which was $22 for a total of $341. I didn't have to order a special mounting plate as it can use various types, including Acra-Swiss type (such as the Kirk Enterprises plate), or a Manfrotto RC-2 plate, which I have since I have a Manfrotto tripod and monopod. It also comes with a bolt for mounting. This system can also be used with a video head. Can't do that with the QAH.
More information can be obtained about the Steady Shot at
http://www.cottoncarrier.comI will be returning the QAH.

to create a link, place
http:// in front of the URL:
http://www.cottoncarrier.comSometimes, when pasting a URL, like magic,
https:// appears at the beginning of the URL - remove the s to make it a link.
