Good morning! I'm on the hunt for an off camera flash that has a built in radio receiver compatible with a pocket wizard transmitter which I would use on the camera shoe to trigger multiple flashes.. thanks..

You can use the Yongnuo speedlight products - cheap, powerful, TTL or Manual, Optical slave and RF triggers. If you are looking for PocketWizard compliance - it won't be cheap.
If you are looking for a monolight, ditto.
More information will give you a better answer. What budget? Portable? How many? etc
Do you already have the Pocket Wizard?

I don't know of a flash that has a built in PocketWizard receiver. You could use two PocketWizard Flex TT5's or a PocketWizard Mini-TT1 on the camera's hot shoe and the flash on a Flex TT5. Those two models support TTL metering.

first thanks for all the feedback. Here is some more information:
I have a sony a99 with sony HVL60 flash. I have a pair of xmt/rcv pocket wizard plus 2's. Sony has a really nice OPTICAL trigger system with full ttl capability, However, the a99 doesn't have a pop up to trigger it. To trigger it with full functionality you need another expensive hvl60 or hvl43. the hvl20 (cheaper) will not provide full capability. Also optical needs direct line of sight and doesn't always trigger ie outdoors for fill...
So I am looking to add up to 3 more flashes to do portrait lighting, since I already have the pocket wizard, which I use to trigger the hvl60 off camera I was hoping to find flashes with pocket wizard compatible radio receivers built in to avoid the cost of buying additional pocket wizard receivers.
The reason I went with Pocket wizard is they seem to be the only ones that work with the not so ISO standard a99 hot shoe and the hvl60 flash foot. As far as I've been able to find out the other triggers don't line up properly. Pocket wizard had a hot shoe cable that will take the hvl60 and plugs into the pocket wizard receiver as the flash doesn't have a pc port... That's my story.. so looking for a portable lighting setup that isn't thousands of dollars, with 3 to 5 lights max. Suggestions and help greatly appreciated... Thanks to all those who have already replied...

Phottix has a flash for Sony with the built in triggers/receivers. But not compatible with the pocket wizards. So if you are going to get multiples then you will be compatible with the Phottix only. Just check for the correct one for your specific camera. See link..

Optical does not need direct line of sight - the trigger is sensitive enough to sense a quick change in light. You are thinking infrared. As I suggested earlier, Yongnuo sells speedlights that are equipped with radio control, and now that I know you have a Sony, it seems there are some models that work with your camera system.

The only speedlight I am aware of is the Canon 600, but it's NOT cheap!
There may be others but I am not aware of them. ;-)

I did look at the phottix before I bought the pocket wizards. I believe these are only compatible with the now old minolta/sony hot shoe and not the new ISO she on the a99 and some of the newer mirrorless cameras.

thanks Gene, I'll have a look and see what I can come up with. Problem using all sony and optical is the cost ... the hvl60 is 550 x 3 but it would give me full ttl and remote control. I've heard that they don't always trigger though and need a direct line of sight...

I didn't know about that studio strobe. It's a great feature to have it built-in. We've always connected a Plus II or Plus III to studio strobes.

CO - there are others, but I don't see the benefit unless you already have the PW system. This is the first one that came to mind, and I remembered reading about the speedlight version, but I could not find anything on it.
