Keep us posted regarding how the Canon Pro 100 performs for you. Thanks.

I love my pixma 100. On Amazon there is a 3rd party ink at less than half the price. I haven't used it yet. I use Canon Paper. When you register the Pixma sign up for their emails. I just got 180 sheets (9 packs) of Canon 13x19 inch glossy for $100. (buy 1 get 2 free, plus free shipping).

Just so you know, the cheap ink on Amazon is not worth the grief. I tried it and it does not dry on Canon paper. It does work pretty good on Kirkland paper from Costco though.
The Pro-100 is actually a very good printer, but suffers ridiculously tiny ink cartridges and has the highest net ink cost of any photo printer on the market. I have two of them and they have both been mothballed because of the ink cost.

Yeah, yeah. At least you're in NJ close to all the major retailers. Try it from the left coast where we either have to pay more for shipping or wait longer. :|

I've had HP, Epson and Canon printer's and nothing has pleased me even remotely as Canon. Claiming Epson is the standard just depends on who your talking to!

I use the HP130NR for smaller prints and the Epson Pro 9600 for larger work. Pro results require Pro equipment.

Drive over?????? To NYC, surely you jest. I have been to b&h many times. I take the train. 35 minutes, $13.00 (Senior Citizen Rate) round trip and Penn Station is 3 blocks from B&H. Train rate is less than the tunnel tolls, and parking, forget about it.

You will not be disappointed. After HP, Brother, Lexmark and Epsom , I now have the Canon Pixma IX6550 A3 printer, combined with profiles that are profiled to the papers I use and printed via Photoshop or Lightroom (That is where the profiles are used from) the results are awesome both in colour and black & white. Enjoy.

Congrats to you. You will really like it. I hope you have a big desk or table to put it in.

What's the price range on those, MT? They might not be the same as the OP's. I'll admit, ink cartridge costs are what keep me away from printers. I'd rather have mine printed.
