This is the Photo Gallery image for my latest monochrome conversion using HCM processing. I have written a tutorial for this processing method which is located in the Post Processing Digital Images forum at http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-294976-1.html

Thanks Roger. This was an unusual configuration for a Magnolia Blossom but it had nice differences in tone that were worthy of exploring.

Thanks Jim. As I recall, you have a few magnolia trees near your place that have produced a few dramatic images of their own.

Thanks Camshy. This bloom had a unusual configuration to it so that one almost doesn't know its a magnolia blossom - but it was plenty showy.

Thanks Randy. I've found it to be an interesting dilemma with flowers ..... does one go soft and dreamy, or focused and sharp? I suspect the answer lies somewhere between those two.

Thank you Corolyn. I thought it was a rather showy bloom. It had just enough tonal differences to fit well within this processing genre.
