I have a D300 and love it.I,m waiting for the D400/9300 to come out but I,m tired of waiting.Should I get the D7200 now?I hate to get the D7200 and then the D400/9300 comes out.I shoot sports and wild life and some night shots. Will there be a big difference in the two cameras?

What is it that you think Nikon will come out with that they already don't have now. Why would Nikon want to produce a professional dx camera now. They have established their pro line in the d8xx cameras and the d4's. They even have the df model. I think with the d750 which is basically back ordered, they have no reason to to introduce another line of cameras. The d7100 and now the d7200 have them covered for at least two years. My opinion, but I think I'm right. Get the d7200, it sounds like a nice camera.

For what you shoot, get a D4S.

No worry, Nikon will replace your model within 9 months with incremental changes but Canon might take 5 years. Bottom line major manufacturers only care about extracting your money and it's up to you becoming a better photographer.

Nikon came out in 2014 and said the D400/9300 would be for sail by Dec. Then they said early 2015,I,m still waiting.

Nikon is not introduceing a new line of cameras. The D300 is a APS-C camera and the D400/9300 isa upgrade of that line of cameras.

All your gas will escape, as it should.
To get the 7200, is like putting a saddle on yourself!!

I have owned Nikon since my first F in 1969. Nikon has never said they would replace the D300 with a D400. I should know, a good friend of mine has been a Nikon Rep. for 30 years. Nikon has never promised a new camera. They simply announce the next camera sometimes a month ahead of distribution to get the GAS going among photographers.
Nikon, Canon, Sony and the rest are companies, they are in existence to make money.
I remember when I used to shoot for UPI Nikon actually asked us what improvements we would like in a new camera. Can you imagine any camera line doing this today. Remember above all else, all companies, whether they produce bolts or cameras, produce a product that consumers will want to buy and to make money, not satisfy the whims of the consumer.
