Hi everyone, I'm brand new and just recently bought a Canon 600D bundle kit. Included is a 75/300 zoom lens. My questions is, what does 75/300 mean?

That is the focal length range of the zoom. 75 to 300.

1955, welcome to the Hog!
It means it's a zoom lens. That means it can change(zoom) its focal length between 75mm(a fairly short telephoto length) to a 300mm(a medium tele length) and everything in between.
I'll assume that the 600d is a crop camera, so it's worth mentioning that the lens actually has the same angle of view, on your camera, as a lens 1.6x that long as the same lens on a FF camera. ;-)

Welcome. There are many on the forum with the 600d/T3i which is regarded as one of the best of the Rebel family.

The lens is most likely the canon ef 75-300 zoom which is frequently bundled in that manner. You may need to consider using highish shuttter / iso combinations for hand held since that lens does not have image stabilization.

Have fun with your new system.

According to your member info you've been a member for just over a year. I'll assume you've been reading info here in order to decide on a purchase. Congratulations, you've got a decent entry level DSLR. You probably have an 18 - 55mm lens as well. The 18-55 and 75-300 numbers refer to the lens focal length range. As you zoom out from one extreme to the other, the focal length changes as you go giving you more or less of the scene in your viewfinder. When you view the photos on your computer there is EXIF information embedded in the image that will tell you exactly what focal length the photo was taken at along with much, much more such as shutter speed, aperture and iSO setting, etc.

Welcome to UHH and photography.
