want to shoot pieces of liquid paint jumping on a membrane caused by the reverbration of a speaker below it. First... i want a surface of about 18 inches and I'll stretch iy on a large darning hoop to make it taut. What kind of material should the paint be on.... a large balloon or scrim or whatever else you recomend. Secondly... can I use any old speaker. I'd like to kick this atoud to see what ideas we come up with. Thanks
Don

I thought I'd use plastic wrap over the speaker

1. I would suggest a bass drum mounted, of course, horizontally.
2. Industrial width Saran Wrap or flexible pallet wrapping tape well suffice.
3. Experiment with the viscosity of the paint for differing effects.
