Working on an idea of macro abstract, opinions?

I have been toying with an idea of capturing patterns and textures in Macro and I don't know if macro abstracts have any intrinsic interest. Would like some opinions.

Lots of detail there. Maybe tinting would enhance interest?

Interesting, I see where you are going. How did you apply the tint? PS, LR or other?

Yes, ice over snow that soaked-in & created a crust. I caught it when the temp went into the low 40s and it started to melt.

Macro abstracts and ice were made for each other. Capturing the air bubbles in ice can look awesome. I have posted an example. The title is Abstract in ice at http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-286958-1.html :-)

I'd like the tint (I think) if it were more subtle. I do like the un-tinted
