Lighting, I find your framing of the image with a blurred zone unique. How do you accomplish that? It adds to the surreal feel of the image. JB

I used a photo editing software called GIMP. I used Select to create a rectangle smaller than the photo. Then Invert to make the area outside this smaller rectangle 'active'. I applied Gaussain blur to the border area. :-)
