Suggestions for another Photo Forun: I can't understand this forum and the admin. I posted what I considered a good B&W of a covered bridge. I had a few comments for about an hour...

I can't understand this forum and the admin. I posted what I considered a good B&W of a covered bridge. I had a few comments for about an hour before the administrator took it down as being a double post. This is not the first time. Very few of my photo stay up for an hour or two. May be if I took a picture of a bird it would make it longer. Anyway does anyone know of another site I might try. Protesting with my feet. ( I already tried www.crybaby)

Don't understand it I just checked and my photos from Aug-12 are still there that is when I joined.

Wow did it show back up after I complained when the administrator sent me a private message that it was taken down after they told me it was a double post.

I'm not Admin, but -
- Double-posts are caused by the user, for either having too slow an internet speed, or being impatient, and clicking the Send button more than once.
- Removal of a double-post is exactly what it says, removal of the double

Leavings your choice, but maybe learn how the site works, you know read the rules and such, and or contact Admin http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/user_profile.jsp?usernum=2 with your complaints. It's not hard. S-

You make a good point but why does it only stay up for an hour or so I hardly ever see one of my photos when I recieve the daily news letter from the forum.

I not saying I am right and I will admit when I am wrong. I could be wrong thanks for trying to explain the double post I never see them so my impression was they where removing both.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'it only stays up for an hour,' but will assume The Newsletter. It's only a small part of the site.

If they put every photo in the news feed in email, it would choke yours and my email, even if it were a bunch of small JPEGs, there are so many of them.

Maybe you mean why is it only on the 1st page for an hour. That answer is obvious.

Ok I am the guy that puts something together and have parts left over then I decide it would have been better if I read the instructions.

Dave, when I have parts left over, I write the engineering dept a nasty letter exclaiming that if I had those parts left over then most people probably do the same. So they should get their acts together and redesign the darned thing without those particular parts, or sell it fully assembled.
I usually get back an equally nasty responds at which point I guess we're even!! :lol: :lol: :lol:
