Crisp and really nice!
Oh, this is a pleasant surprise! Thanks for looking, Alissa.
Nice catch, the cardinals have been real bashful around my house this year, especially the male. Love the storyline, them sparrows are everywhere.

Im not a bird man and get really peed off by some of the totally crap bird photos posted on the Hog Out of focus wing tips cut off etc. And people still say Great shot!!!
These are simply magnificent. In focus nicely composed with backgrounds that do not intrude. Just about perfect my man.
Should be the set thatsposted by return to folks that cannot get it right and come here to be falsely told their work is good.

Thank you very much! I am glad you did not say anything about my stupid story. Also, I must be one of the lucky ones. I have posted crap before and boy, I sure hear about it. Recently, a guy did post a picture that was wrong in about every way imaginable. Yet he got about 4 pages of "Great shot!" and junk like that. Unbelievable. How is one supposed to learn by that sort of thing? People out here should be more honest. They don't have to be mean about it either.
Anyway, I shot these with a used lens that I recently purchased (a Tamron 28-105). I bet if I had cleaned the window that I shot through, they may be even sharper yet.

Excellent captures Tom, I can see why he would be attracted to her she is one beautiful bird!! :-)
Good shots. I prefer 3. The portrait format is pleasing, her posture is slightly more upright and her eye is clear. Good looking lady.
