Why not just go to the canon web site and download it I just checked and downloaded it with no problem. Seems like it contains all you need. Hope this helps. quote=mollymolly]Other than the manual that ships with it, does anyone know of any other in-depth manual I can order? I downloaded the kindle version, Canon 7D Mark II Experience from Amazon but I prefer something that I can read and study and refer to as I'm shooting. Any help will be appreciated![/quote]

Don't forget another obvious that should be considered. Call Canon customer service and request a paper copy of the manual. Most of the time, they won't even ask you for a reason. Once, I was asked "why" and I simply told them that printing at a copy facility was cost prohibitive. The customer representative agreed and that was that.

I download the .PDF that is on the site. it is easier to read and I also go on youtube and ask specific questions looking for tutorials.
Also check the site MIKE THE MAVEN for his work.

Thank you. I will check it out.

I've bought one of these:

http://www.amazon.com/David-Buschs-Compact-Field-Guide/dp/1305629663/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1421321992&sr=8-4&keywords=david+busch+canon+7d&pebp=1421322002299&peasin=1305629663

Pretty detailed, with very fine print. Not quite pocket-sized, but will fit in most bags. seems pretty comprehensive. At $15+, a bit pricey.

I just looked into it and the book will be reordered on April 10): thank you. But that's what I am looking because I have it for the 7D.

His field guides are terrific, but the full versions of David Busch's books have far more content. Here a link to Amazon.

Thank you. Unfortunately it's not available at this time.

This one is different and more in-depth than the one that ships with it, right?

Hi Mollymolly, It's nice to see you back. That site, Manualsink.com supplies printed copies of the actual manual on the enclosed disk, that came with the camera. It is huge, but it is presently the only printed manual available for the 7D Mark II. I bought one several weeks ago. It is better than nothing. I'm waiting for the "Field Guide" book from Wiley Publishing. It should be out sometime in February-March.

Download the pdf of the manual from Canon and put it on your Android or iPhone. Done.

If it is small like the 7D book carry the book that came with it. I keep mine in a small ziplock bag with the flash manual. They stay fairly undamaged this way and really help. Outside of this for portability do not know of a small compact independent book that fits the bag easily.

That is such a long time to wait! I didn't realize how different the 7D II would be from the 7D.
And it's nice to be back! Thank you!

There was a David Busch field guide that was supposed to be published and released in mid-February 2015 (Amazon had it on pre-order since late Nov. 2014). But when I just checked on the status it turns out the publisher went out of business and David is having to shop the book around elsewhere to be published. Only other guide I've seen listed isn't due out until April 2015.
