Camera manufacturers should get wise and instead of useless scene settings such as Snow and Fireworks, they should have a Seventeen setting.
The one that makes anyone look like they are 17 again.

Even my wife regrets buying me my first real camera, a Panasonic G1 micro 4/3 when she saw the pictures I took of her with it, revealing the small varicose veins on her otherwise shapely legs. They didn't show up on images taken with my Kodak P&S and are barely visible with my bridge camera.

OK, I taught a small lighting class last night for a small club. Our model (kid from one of those modeling schools) failed to show up. I actually stepped in and posed as the model for the hands on portion.

When looking at all the portraits, I realized that there is something seriously wrong with digital cameras these days. When my photo was taken with film, I looked much younger, less fat, and had hair. Something in these sensors make me look terrible!

Statistics show that 1 in 3 people are ugly.
Look to your left, now look to your right.
If those two people are beautiful.... hey, it's you.

I'm growing old gracefully. And I don't mind prunes.
Now that I am beginning to look like one. ;)

It's definately the switch to digital. I looked much younger and had hair in pics taken with my Spotmatic, and Kodachrome. But as Paul Simon said. Mama took my Kodachrome away.

The prunes are supposed to make movements easier such that you don't have to grit your teeth causing additional lines in one's face and abetting the wrinkles.

Eat more prunes and the aging stops.

I don't blame the mirror. I think it is my wife! She is like Dorian Gray and I am like the portrait! I keep looking older and older and she just keeps getting better and better!

Never eat Prunes and peanuts together.
The ricochets can be very painful.

My wife wants a nice framed picture of us also. But whenever I go to Walmart, Kmart, or Target, I tell her I can never find a picture of us in all those frames they have for for sale!

In Mary Tyler Moore's heyday, she played a secretary to a man who was an executive being fired the same day she started. In typical MTM fashion, she was in tears as the man was packing up his office - noting that a photo of a young-looking man and his family was on his desk. She sobbed, "And look at your lovely family....how are they going to understand the loss of your job!!"

"Oh, that, " he remarked, "that came with the frame..."

I take the pictures. At a recent family reunion I shot CU's of
everyone with great shallow depth field with a 55mm Zeiss.
I am never in the photo's. When I see myself I get scared.
