My Nikon D800 from KEH has arrived, The one that I bought stated in excellent condition and in looks it seems almost new, same for operation, It has no problems that I can tell and it is taking some nice photo's. The problem if it is one is it came with over 45000 actuation's on the shutter I am worried that is to many what do you folks think I have 14 days to send it back. What would you do?.

That's the biggest problem with buying used bodies from KEH, they will not tell you the shutter count even if they know it. But the high shutter count is usually factored into their selling price, the higher the count, the lower the price.

Yeah I know, they are pretty fair I sent them a request for them to maybe give me a warranty so if the shutter dies it will be covered I did not buy it at the time as I wanted to know That I would keep it before investing. It is a nice camera and if I remember correctly a replacement should it fail is around the $300.00 mark

Hey, your lucky, the shutter has been broken in for you and is probably as consistent as it will ever be.
I presume the D800 has a life of 150K at least and could possibly go to 300K if your lucky.
45K is not very many. Most photographers will not get to 45K in many years before moving on to the next body.
If you exchange it, the next one may have 90K!!

200000 i what is stated on Nikon's site, and yeah that is possible that the next could be worse I do not know of anyone on any brand who has had shutter failure, but I am sure there are a few out there. I do not want to give it up that's for sure the camera looks and operates like new and it would take me a very long time to put 150000 more clicks on it by then a new one will be out that I want or I could be dead with all my health problems

Think the only heat you might feel is from everyone wanting to borrow it !!
