I HOPE y'all aren't switching to the 7DmkII, because it is BEHIND the competition.... WAAAAAAAAAAY behind.

The Sony A77MkII, Nikon D7100, Olympus OMD-E M-1, Pentax K-3 are ALL better cameras for LESS money than that over-rated incrementally improve Canon.

Buying the 7DII is like a suckers bet...

Well I am wondering if the recent price decrease in the D7100 means we have D400, D7200, or the D9300 coming soon?

All the results (of the Canon 7DII) I have seen on UHH and other web sites certainly don't confirm your comments about the Canon equipment. If you have used the 7DII, please post your results so we can see what you are talking about. I am sure the other equipment is very good and I don't question that.
I just want to see your results which prompt such strong comments from you.

Thank you! Jeese, I've had mine (7DII) about a month and really haven't seen anything wrong. Not sure why all the hatred on UHH for this thing.

It just means they're trying to compete with the 7dll. But that ain't gonna happen. The 7100 could barely compete with the ancient 7dmkl !
Just get a D4, MAYBE it's better!

Well I have heard comments from respected authorities stating the D7100 is currently the BEST DSLR available. Now I did handle a 7 Mark 2 with a 24-70 F/4 lens, and I will admit it feels and looks nice, but I did not test it.

I think it has more to do with the exchange rates on the dollar vs the yen.

Well, Nikon is a clear leader in dslr cameras with the D810, Sony is the leader in mirrorless with the A7r and other A7 cameras, Canon is the leader when it comes to sales volumes. I think it is just very good that they all have some catch up to do, it will power development and that is just positive for us consumers.

I am using mostly Nikon and it is a constant win-win situation for me. When Nikon is ahead of the competition with their cameras then I have my lenses ready for the new Nikon camera model, and when Nikon is dragging behind in camera development and photographers switch to other brands I pick up more Nikkor lenses at bargain prices ;)

Not made any concrete opinions on this model yet, but suggest watching Tony Northrup's you tube video for some data based results vs general opinion as stated above. Would appreciate if you would share your data to compare. Not saying you're not right or wrong.

You DO understand that the cameras I mentioned out performing the 7DII doesn't mean that the canon can't perform... just that it isn't as good at performing as anything else in it's class. ;)

No hatred Chris. Just pointing out that the 7DII is NOT as good as it's contemporaries are, even though it costs MUCH MORE.

Yup... Seen Northrups video.

He shoots Canon.

Rather than listening to someone who endorses a product they work for, I'd rather see/hear what independent reviewers have to say. ;)
