I saw this guy on my ride home from the vets zig zagging along the highway in NH and off into the tree line. I posted the photos to a dog recovery site. They got back to me saying a coyote expert looked at the photo & said he was a wolf.

I included a photo from the internet of a Black Canadian Timber Wolf whom looks almost identical

Hi CJartist-That is also what we said on the posting ..of his winter coat and zig zagging like a coyote. Good thing my dog was with me…or I might have tried to get him into the car LOL

Looking at the pic it sure looks like a coyote. I don't think its a wolf as I don't think you would have gotten that close. I will send you a couple of pics a little later on.

The photo off the internet I posted looks just like the Black Canadian Timber Wolf. It is hard to tell how big he is ..but he was huge. Looking forward to your photos . Thanks Heidi

I don't think it is a wolf but a domestic dog. I live in Minnesota and see plenty of wolves and coyotes. His bone structure doesn't look right.

Hi deefilly - Did you see the photos I put up off the internet of the timber wolf- they look so much alike, I am also posting photos (not real clear) of a wolf .."dog" that we are used to thinking of. Do you think coyote /hybrid/ or wolf? It walked past our house last year

First photo 100 plus yards away and last 1/4 mile away
- this was a big boy too

It's a beautiful animal cam20000, and great shots it could very well be a Black Canadian Timber Wolf, it is surely not a coyote, much too big, and wide, a coyote is much thinner

Thank you for looking and your comment gregory - he was huge but nothing to compare his size too - also the winter coat was a big clue
