I'm a street guy so this whole indoor thing has got me scratching my head. The first and second photos were taken literally 5 seconds apart after taking a foot zoom. Nikon D7100 w/ 35 1.8 Auto1 Standard Active D normal ISO800 Aperture Priority. In the third photo I am wondering how to handle the window in the tack room. My thoughts are with going to the Kelvin scale for the WB. Thanks for the help, you guys are the greatest. Marty

You changed your perspective from the overhead lighting.
The white balance was auto? Sometimes I use Pre-white balance and that works well.

Thanks Dan, so I guess in this type of tricky overhead lighting Auto is out?

You can also try correcting in PP and set your WB to match the picture of your choice.

Were you using a flash? Maybe you didn't give it time to recycle before taking the second picture? Just saying....

None seems to be in focus. WB is the least of your problems.

In Photo3, the skin tones look just about right, which is more important than the window. Keep in mind, the viewer will pay more attention to the person (the main subject) than anything else.
