I just received the Tamron 150-600 and I admit I was a little apprehensive about leaving it on my mark ii overnight. But it worked just fine, with no reduction in battery power. So the problem seems to be restricted to the Tamron 24-70.

A significant amount of high explosives will eliminate the testy Tamron's electrical appetite.

I put my Tamron 24-70 on my 7D Mark II last night. Power was good this morning, no problem.

Sorry guys, but I have the same battery problem. However, it's fitted to a Canon 600mm f4 mk II lens and not a Tamron. So I doubt if it is a Tamron problem at all :(
