The background is just as important as the subject. You are free to disagree all you want. I learned MANY years ago that if you have to make excuses or explain...don't show it.

An you need to be reminded that the hog is for the entire gamut of experience not just just those looking to be on the front cover of National Geographic. Help people make small strides and learn to be an elitist down the line. Yes I understand serious critiquing but that is reserved for advanced forums.

Well, I agree with the first sentence. But I think that becoming a proficient photographer is hardly "elitist." Basic knowledge that your background is as important as the subject is not advanced and the sooner one learns it the better.

Hey Captain, give it up already! Doug did a nice job helping the Poster out with his photo. "I've learned MANY years ago that it's easy to micro manage". He was just helping somebody out...why do you feel the need to criticize?

What can I do about the man's head? Decreasing exposure isn't helping.

This one works for me, eh? Blown highlight on his head doesn't bother me in the least....

Don't over think it. In ACR reduce your exposure a little. Maybe....maybe warm up your image. BTW... Beautiful family...
