Checked out comparison of 750-810 on DxO.

750 better ISO score.
810 better color, slightly better dynamic range.

Differences in these criteria is minimal.

810 has faster max shutter.
750 has flippy screen.

Why does Snapsort use "popularity" as rating criteria?
Just curious- why not a second 610?

The D810 offers you a level of image quality that is second to none outside medium format. While the D750 looks like a great camera the D810 is a step above particularly for landscape type work where it is very popular with the pro's.

If money is not a limiting factor then that is the logical choice. In size and weight it is not so different to the 750.

People often comment about file size from the D800/810. Seems a bit irrelevant - if you are spending that much on a camera then installing suitable disk capacity is a very minor additional cost.

Hi everyone
Long time no talk. I travel and take around 3 to 4 trips per year. Take lots of pictures on my d610 mainly using the holy trinity when I travel. Am tired of constantly changing lenses and fear of an accident. As a second full frame, should I get a 750 or 810. The price is not a consideration. Am going to Iceland in May to shoot pictures with Muensch photo tours. Would love to hear what everyone recommends

No question - the D810.

I got a kick out of the display of both cameras. They almost doubled the size of the D750, and made the D810 look like a pocket-size point and shoot.

I have the 810 and best camera I've had. Quiet and smooth! Moved from a 610 and I much prefer the position of the controls on the 810. Also with the larger file sizes, if you need to crop, you have a lot of leeway.

That's because the 810 had the battery pack on it.

As an 810 user, I am very biased, but I would certainly go for the 810. Especially since you will be going to Iceland, you will find that this beautiful but quite barren country has fantastic detail in the glaciers, icebergs, and lava - both new and old. You will want to capture that detail. Be sure to shoot RAW and process in 16-bit color space (ProPhoto). You can always compress later, but don't lose that fantastic detail at the git go.

This is also a place that is custom made for the expressive Black and White photographer.

Having lived in Iceland for a year back in my Navy days, I shot extensively with a film Hassy and surely wish that I had a 4x5 or 8x10 when I go back to those negatives today.

HGH. Be glad to answer any questions you have, but I am sure there are many others who also have information.

Ken Rockwell compares the new D750 to the D4, and calls it a close 2nd
Somehow that puts it comparatively the same as a D810 or close enough.
D750 auto focus is supposedly best in the world this far
Rent and use each one for a day and choose wisely

How about the frames speed, are you shooting race cars or a sunset. 24 or 36 Meg size photo without adjustments made?

I don't know about "the world," but it's by far the fastest AF I've ever experienced, even in dim light (1-2 lumens)

If you buy the 750, you will soon wonder why you didn't buy the 810.
