Buenos dias a todo.
Have any of you taken an "Intermediate" Photography workshop? (I'll leave it to you to define intermediate.) If you have, what topics were covered? Thanks, Ricardo.

Ricardo, saludos desde CA. y bienvenido al Puerco.
Hey, are you talking about an online course or a seminar? I've never taken an intermediate course of either, but I've been through a complete college level pro curriculum. It doesn't matter if you've never used a camera before or shot for 30 years. Once you satisfy the prerequisites, when you come out the other end you will be a pro level photographer, limited only by your creativity because you will certainly have all the skills and knowledge. But it does take a few years.
I recommend it, but you will learn something from any kind of course you take, at any level! Good luck. ;-)

The beginner courses around here introduce you to what the letters on the dial stand for and what the buttons do....
Intermediate must be what to point it at...

Intermediate workshops focus more on composition and how to apply camera features to achieve different results. They don't teach you basics like the exposure triangle and what different buttons and menu choices mean on your camera.
If you haven't seen it I recommend the Joel Satore (National Geo Photographer) course on DVD from The Great Courses.
I've been through numerous courses in the Photography curriculum. I haven't heard of an "intermediate" course. Most "intermediate" courses are actually focused on a specific topic such as Portraiture, Lighting, Composition, Journalism, etc. I loved them all! Good luck

Thanks all. I've got a good idea now.
