The 24-70 will keep you walking around, the 70-200 will let you do portraits and the 14-24 (I prefer the 16-35) will give you the big picture. With these three, you can shoot photos for years to come.
On my 5300 I can leave the screen in the view mode like my 7100. I feel that all that twisting and turning is a weak point, just like the old flip phone problems with their screens
If you already have the Nikor 28-300 AF-S Lens which I have been using on my D7100. I know the lens is FF and I am using it on an DX. What lens would you get for the D750. Thanks In advance Pat
I'd start with the 105 Macro. I'd look at the 24-140 Nikon f4 with VR vs the 24-70 unless you are "filthy rich". I'd also consider renting any lens I was looking at rather then buying- you are looking at lots of expensive recommendations. See what really works for your needs. I'd try to stick with Nikon, even if I had to buy used. Consider factory refurbs too.
To begin, for the 750, I would get the 14-24, 24-70, 70-200, 80-400, 17-35, 24 1.4 prime, 35 1.4 prime, 85 1.4 prime, 105 macro, 200 mm and 300 mm. I would keep the 28-300 for travel.
I shoot mostly out door wild life and close up shots of butterflies, bees, dragonflies, etc. I do little portrait work but enough that I do use Portrait Professional. I have all kinds of DX type of lenses for my D3100, D5300, and D7100. I only have the FF lens I already mentioned.
First lens to buy then is the Nikon 105mm f2.8 VR.

What? No Nifty-Fifty? What kind of photographer are you??
Speaking of G.A.S., I just completed a full inventory of my gear. Turns out that in two short years I have aquired 7 camera bodies, 13 lenses, and and more accessories than I care to mention.
