POTN Question

I have asked this question on the Canon POTN site, but to this point, there have been no responses.

I listed a lens in the "For Sell" thread on POTN. I did (and always) choose the "instant email notification" option. For some reason, I did NOT get a notification and missed two sales. I only noticed the private messages in POTN once I went to that site for an unrelated reason. In fact, I checked last night and there was another private message in POTN, but no email notification. Any once else had this issue? Any idea how to fix? Thanks in advance for your responses.

Maybe you should ask the Admin for help on that site...

I suggest you address your issue with the Moderator or Administrator of that particular board as it really has nothing to do with this forum.

As I mentioned in my original post, I did address my question on POTN, but have not received a response. I have received and read such valuable info from fellow Hoggers, I was seeking advice here. It appears that I offended you by asking the question. Certainly didn't intend to, just seeking experiences from fellow Canon users. Did I violate a rule?

The Admin there should be able to help!

wmcy, welcome to the Hog.
It's quite possible that someone may have an answer for you . I've never been to POTN.
But good luck with your answer. ;-)

You violated no rules, its just that there are likely no members here that are able to help you with issues on another specific board that you are no able to address there yourself.

Thanks SharpShooter. It's a bit surprising as I've never had that issue before. I have really enjoyed being a member here - and find the exchanges (at least the photography ones) very helpful. Just thought I'd see if I could get some advice.

Thanks again.

Got it. I just that so far, I've not gotten an answer from POTN, so I thought I'd try here, where there are many other Canon shooters - and possibly POTN users.

One thing is not mentioned anywhere in this thread...

When you receive an e-mail it is filtered. You may want to check your setting and check the junk mail log, just to see if it has not been killed...

Especially if you've accidentally deleted an email from that forum (before opening it). Sometimes that can trigger unwanted filtering.
