Canon T90 with 4 lenses, Flash, Remote...

Looking for opinion of Value:
Very clean, Canon T-90
Soligor C/D Zoom+Macro 35-200mm 3.5-4.5 with Polarizer & Hood
Canon 50mm 1.8 w UGC filter
Vivitar 28-80mm 3.5-5.6 Macro Focusing Zoom w/ UV filter & Polarizing Filter
Phoenix/Samyang 18-28mm 4.0-4.5 w/ Polarizing filter, FL-Day & 80A Filters.
Remote Shutter Release
Canon 300TL Speedlight

Served me very well; I have not found a digital set-up that comes close in performance, (how it fells and responds in my hands) but I'm finally going to take the leap and will not look back.
It will go as a kit... I guess, breaking it up may bring more money but may also diminish market of remaining items?
Before I walk into Adorama, B&H or Hunt's and try to bargain, I would like some real unbiased opinions of the value.

Look what they are going for on eBay. From what I can tell, the demand for professional film cameras (such as the T90), older manual focus lenses and accessories has been steadily increasing over the last 2-3 years, sought after by the growing market of camera collectors. Not long ago, collectors were mostly interested in pre-1970's era stuff, but now they are showing interest in later cameras and lenses, driving up the prices. Especially items with the Canon or Nikon name brand.

The value lies mostly with the body. The lenses, other than the Canon, are average. The T-90, though, is sought after. As far as price goes, KEH currently has 5 bodies in excellent condition for $126.00 each, and 2 bargain bodies at $79.00. It is worth noting that only in the last year or so have the T-90's been coming on the used market in any quantity -- many of them have been kept, and used, since the original production dates. They were highly cherished, and have a justifiable reputation as one of the finest manual cameras ever. That said, I'll stick to my Nikons!

Thanks for the reply...
It is much as I would have expected; and Nikon has won me over as well. I am glad I do not have a big investment in Auto Focus Glass, and can rebuild my gadget bag in either (Nikon or Canon) direction.
My better half has recently brought a D7100 and a D5000 into the house; I have been handling D200 & D90’s for a couple years for a civic organization. Otherwise I would have (Brand Loyalty) a couple Canon bodies and lenses in my sights. The new Nikons have me hooked… I see a D750 and possibly a D4 as a second body in my future, FX lens build-up using her DX bodies and it will be off to the races in FX
Whatever trade-in value I get for the film equipment will be superior to a film camera in a closet doing nothing…

Jim, welcome to the Hog. The T90 is a beautiful camera. I had a pair of them in the 80's. They where the first Canons I ever used. I have no idea what they are worth, but one day I hope to find one not working just to put on my mantle.
Too bad you're going Nikon. Have you Looked at the new Canon 7Dmkll? Wow, what a machine. I'll admit, the average shooter doesn't need that much camera. But if you have any sports/action or BIF's in your future it may certainly be with considering. Or in a FF you might also look at the 5Dmklll. It's a little like combining a 750 and a D4!! Good luck. ;-)

Steve
Camera Clinic
Reno NV...

Steve used to be a Canon employee. He is the "go to" guy on the T90.

I have had him refurb three T90 camera's in the past. He also has a very reasonable price for installing a PC synch outlet on the body of the t90.

One problem the T90 did have as a "known" issue was the "eee" error which was a result of the magnets in the shutter needing to be cleaned. This error generally occurred on T90's that had been stored away for years at a time.

His price is very reasonable.

I only post this as the general interest in the T90 is high, and someone may want a name for service at a reasonable price on the T90.

I really got great mileage out of all my T90's and they had superior metering and other function qualities, as the last predecessor to the EOS Canon's. They are the best use I know of using the manual focus Fl/FD lens mounts.

I would check eBay. If you are looking for a serviced Canon T90, you may want to check with Steve in Reno.

Yes,
And that is why I see the gear going as a bundle rather than trying to break it up...

Sure, I guess.
Seems to me I may be better to use the kit as a trade-in:
A reseller/shop will have the resources to go through the gear and either break it up or turn it as a kit.
If you want to toss a number I will consider any reasonable offer.
