They have never messed up an order of mine, but I'm interested to see how they deal with you.
Good luck and have fun!

That's fine if you have a Costco membership & there is one near you. I don't have a membership & the nearest one is about 25 miles away...As it turns out, I found another unopened 4 pack of 1800 recycle Eneloop batteries while putting my gear together, so the screw up by the vendor is inconsequential... Thanks anyway.... I love Eneloops, they just keep on, keeping on...
Costco will sell and ship to non-members, at a slightly higher price.
Wow, it's good that it is Friday. Some here need some R&R, and I hope you all find it.
About the Amazon/vendor error, did you call Amazon and report the problem? I have found that they are super responsive to errors, and would not be surprised if they were to Fed Ex a proper replacement, at no extra charge to you.
I would tend to agree that this might not be the best place to lodge a complaint about a vendor. Yet I've just learned two cool things in the dialogue. One was LivingSocial and the second is resellerratings.com. To which, I say Thank You. And I hope you all have a great weekend.
No R&R for me as I have a shoot... Which is what I was ordering spare batteries for.... Turns out I had a pack I hadn't even opened, so I'll have 16 spares in all... I'll be shooting a company picnic, about 100 families all told. They will have Horse rides, Camel rides, face painting, caricatures & a host of other activities... 5 hour event... I'm sure I'll be worn out by the time it ends... I've already initiated an email to the vendor. They said I'll have a response within 48 hours... Lucky I wasn't hard pressed for the batteries, not that I don't have a slew of alkaline anyway, but I prefer to use the eneloops.

It happens. Personally I only buy at Amazon if I'm buying directly from Amazon themselves and not an independent vendor. That's not to say they're all bad or make mistakes but I feel safer with Amazon themselves being my authorized vendor.

I've done well with Amazon and their sellers. the only problem was with some electrical switches I just got that were not as described. They pay for the return, and I ordered another.

I've just had a problem shipment from an Amazon supplier. A bean bag and associated strap. The box just contained the strap, no bean bag.
I looked up how to contact Amazon, sent an e-mail. Within two hours I got a reply saying they couldn't send me the bean bag since it was an external vendor, but initiated an immediate refund, I have re-ordered the item and should receive it on Monday.
No muss, no fuss, and excellent exception handling, plus they are sending follow up status e-mails. I also initiated the e-mail at around 7pm PST, so outside normal business hours and it was all resolved the same evening.
I have never had a problem with Amazon that was not resolved quickly and efficiently. I've had very few problems, but they are as solid as anything else I have experienced, and more so than most.
Couple of years ago I had an identity theft issue with someone getting my credit card details and ordering stuff from Amazon. They leaped upon it straight away and sorted it out extremely promptly in conjunction with my credit card company. The fraudulent stuff got shut down instantly and I was credited with refunds etc. very promptly. Once again, no pain for me, but excellent problem handling.
Good luck

Was my description of any benefit?
Unless you're using the switches in heavy current situations, a lot of these kinds of things are available at Radio Shack. Little red button switches are usually in blister packs and larger red button switches are in packs that are clear plastic squares glued to cardboard but still pegboard packages which are both in their "electronic components" area along with resistors and capacitors, etc. All are less than $5 and may be in a double pack for that price.
Larger music stores also many times carry a momentary foot switch that mounts in a round hole with a threaded nut that musicians use in a special effects foot pedal. Also most music stores will carry a 4" X 4" pedal with rubber foot grip on top that has a momentary SPST switch in it for plugging into the back of a digital synthesizer or piano. Usually it's for sustaining piano notes until you let go of it. Or they can control digital stuff like program changes, etc. About $15 - $20 each.

Amazon has what I believe is an amazingly flexible database system on each customer. I had a problem ordering a streaming movie from them two nights ago. I bought it, the website showed that I bought it, but when I went to my ROKU box in the living room it didn't show up in my video library. I rebooted the Amazon app there two or three times thinking there was a wait before it would show up. It didn't. I went back and tried to figure it out on their website but couldn't so I contacted "chat" for assistance at midnight EST.
I got someone immediately with no waiting. She asked for my general data and saw the movie I bought. I said it just didn't show up in video library on my ROKU with my other three. She said, "you've only bought 1 movie." I said that couldn't be right because I have 3 other ones that I've had for a while. She said, "tell me what the other three are" so I listed them to her and she found by referencing me backward that I have another account with Amazon. She did that by using the names of those three movies and my real name. I had forgotten that I had signed up for streaming movies with a different account name than I use for other tangible purchases. She asked if I wanted her to cancel the first purchase and did so in less than 30 seconds. Top notch fast customer service in my opinion. As one of, if not THE, biggest retailer on the Internet that's what you would expect but that's not always the case with some companies.
The vendor got back to me today. They are sending out the correct size batteries & told me to just keep the other ones... that's stepping up to the plate in my book

It's 3pm PST Monday. Just got my replacement shipment. I have no complaints, just praise from this interaction.
