Neither camera is considered a 'pro' camera though I know several pros who carry a 50D as back up. In it's heyday 50D was called 'prosumer' camera.
50D image significantly better, in my opinion.
How did the light change during the time between the 2 shots? The 'early' shot looks like 'cloudy-bright' light & the second looks 'full sun' to me . . . softer & diffused, compared to bright & direct.
Okay, a simple not really related question. How do you find the exif data. I thought it was visible if you download the picture, but I don't see it. I saw that ST3V3M was able to access it.

The simplis way is to download it. Then drag it to the desktop. Right click on it then go to the property's then click on the details. You'll see most of it there.

OK 2 different camera's same shot same location on tripod. Shot in raw and auto processed with Photoshop CS5. Other than a variation of color, I don't see the difference between the 2 camera's. Am I missing something here. I am sending the pics and info download.
I did notice the same lens on different camera was different in AV, and speed. That may be due to the digic processor, 50D full frame and T5i smaller?
I'm leaning towards the 50D. The predominately green colors in the photo seem to have shifted to a yellowish tint in the T5i photo.
[quote=jgreco]I should have included the white balance. Picture 1 was automatic, picture 2 is manual. Also instead of sRBG it both show RBC? David

What manual white balance did you set and what auto WB did the camera choose?

For some mysterious reason, my editing is not working, so here is the editing copied and pasted:
I do see subtle differences. Comparing the two pictures, the Canon 50D displays: 1- A darker background, 2- Lighter (I would call overexposed) middle-ground yellow flowers, 3- Darker .green leaves in the foreground.
It is interesting how the two cameras differ in the way the three main planes (background, middle ground and foreground are recorded. Perhaps it has to do with light conditions at the time. I find the picture with Canon T51 to have a better balance of colors and exposure.
This is my only VALID version of my reply :)
