No one helped me with my GAS problem. You are all mean and nasty. Just bought the Nikon 14-24 2.8 to be used on my D610. Will take it to my trips to Sicily, Charleston and Savannah. Hope everyone is happy. We are all NUTS.

So what's your point? Congrats, you'll love the lens!

We are happiest when we see the UPS truck arrive. It goes gradually downhill after that. We open the package, handle our new toy, and then start thinking about what's next.
Why do we all have this obsession with buy more and more gear? I know I will love the lens and have always wanted it. The silver lining is that we are all blessed with the ability to do crazy things like this. Life is too short not to enjoy it if you can afford it.
You are right Jerryc41. I now have three current camera bodies and 12 lenses. When is enough, enough?
Maybe I should de member myself. We all have a weird connection
Not having bought a lens since my 1980's Minolta AF days, I did not realize they still sold new lenses!! As a result I have squelched my 1980 wife named "You got enough lenses."
So now I find you kiddies call it GAS... Glass Acquisition Syndrome... now am I wrong... if it is a "Syndrome" then the medical insurance should pay for a new lens every 90 days.
I had a friend who dropped his lens and thought it was covered by his car insurance under "comprehensive" the policy says "replace broken glass."

11" Celestron SCT Focal Length 2800 mm
and costing and costing. I am near my end of wants (Hopefully, but I need to complete the Holy Trinity. Now have the 14-24 and 24-70. The 24-70 is my favorite lens and is always affixed to my D610. 70-200 2.8? Is it on the way? Need help. Feel like we are the blind leading the blind
You are correct. Your GAS is permanent. Cannot be removed nor helped
