How many of you out there are left eye dominant, and do you find it a problem some time to see thru the view finder properly under certain conditions, especially in cold weather when your breath steams up the view finder. I do not care for live view most of the time. The only way I can use the right eye is to shut the left. Also your nose seems to be in the way.

I am left eyed, Don't see a problem. I don't think the nose gets out of the way to use the right eye, not on my camera. Are you left handed or right handed. I have been told most people with a dominant left eye are left handed. I am not, and just wondering how many have mixed dominance as I do. It is not a problem for me.

I'm a rightie, and right eye dominant, and my nose still leaves a big fat grease spot on rear LCD.....
(my sons think I'm a dork also, but probably for MANY different reasons....)

don't know for sure but strongly feel all cameras are made for right eye shooting and secondly are you saying you don't shut one eye when you look through the viewfinder?

I Never close the other eye. I was taught it is better to keep both eyes open and I always have. It is more restful if you are shooting a lot.

I'm left handed and left eye dominant and use my left eye to see through the viewfinder. I believe I also shut my right eye but don't think it makes much difference.
I will sometimes fog up the camera and also leave a greasy nose print on the lower right corner of the camera's view screen.

I also shoot (guns) left handed and left eye aiming.
Although I know I leave both eyes open for that.

Of course shooting a rifle left handed such as my AR, the shells eject across me rather then off to the side.

I shoot left hand also, but I do not have to shut my right eye when using my left, but if try use my right eye I have to shut my left. The M1 brass is hot when you are shooting left hand and it is landing on your right arm.

I've had hot brass from a .45 come back at me and go right down the front of my shirt.
You have to resist the urge to start jumping around like a lunatic with the gun still in your hand and your finger on the trigger. :-o

I'm left handed, but right eye dominant. I am really truly mixed up. I write, eat, cook, play guitar, and bowl left handed. Pretty much everything else I do I am right handed. It used to confuse a psych professor I knew. When he asked who was left handed I raised my right hand.

I used to be right eye domanent(I guess I still am), but my eyesight in my right eye has gone bad so I now shoot "left eyed so I can see my metering in my camera. Get fogged up, and greasy nose prints either way....
