A rather mundane subject to be sure, but had some appeal for me. I'll have an opportunity to revisit the subject in the near future, so would appreciate any help with improving the shot.
Ahh .... the pumpkin patch. I love the way you've done this with one big, plump pumpkin in the foreground and that quaint little red barn in the background. Gorgeous color, great lighting, perfect focus, I love this image!
Thank you for taking the time to comment.

I think this is a terrific shot and very well composed. It's got good depth of field throughout (which is essential in this sort of image) and the distant barn absolutely tops it off. Great perspective too and I love the drama in the sky. With a bit of thought you have turned a relatively mundane shot into something quite eye-catching.
Thank you for the encouragement. I appreciate it.
Nice shot. I love the vibrant colors. Your exposure and focus seem to be good.
I think the composition could be improved by swinging to the left a little placing the barn closer to the right hand side. This would cause your eye to move diagonally across the image adding interest.
The red channel is blown. Examine the blank, (no detail) areas in the large pumpkin.

That was one of the things I tried to do with this both in the field and with a slight crop. Neither seemed to work very well. In the field I wished I could have moved the Pumpkin to the left to get that perspective, but....
Thanks for looking.

My histogram (in LR 5) doesn't appear to indicate that. Perhaps I'm misreading it?

Take a sample with the eye-dropper then read the red channel histogram noting that the value is 255....

The foreground colors strike me of the color films of the 60's that could not reproduce colors well. Sure, the colors are vivid but look like a bad dose of HDR. I do not like how the blue sky is present on the right half only.
It doesn't matter, Windshoppe ... it's an awesome shot. I find this image extremely pleasing to my eye and I don't need an eye dropper to tell me that.

Thanks. Guess I'll have to research this area. Don't know much about RGB Histogram interpretation.

Pleasing to the eye it may be but but most responses here, being nothing more than saying "nice shot", don't offer any pointers on how the OP might improve the shot being as it is that there will be a forthcoming opportunity to re-shoot.
