Just a minor point on the pose. The finger(s) of his left hand are just barely visible above the right arm. I think this might be improved by:

a) hiding the fingers or
b) exposing more of the hand

A reflector to slightly open up the shadow side of the face - just enough to see a little detail there.

(I don't care for the glasses either but I'm not the client!)

Thank you for your comments. Every time I turned the camera toward him, he would pose. He is smiling in most of the pictures. I do have a small reflector and I was wishing I had brought it with me that day. I just grabbed my camera bag and out the door I went.

He is not a client. He is a little boy I have watched grow up. When I look at the pictures I realize he is not a little boy anymore.

I think the revised photos lessening the shadow from the head now create a mismatch with the shadow under the arms.

Thank you for your comments. This was a good learning tool for me. I learned how to lighten a shadow. I agree they both should be lightened to match. I will be working on that.

I agree , with all you have said , reflector to rid those shadows would have been the way to go . Thumbs up. Also 20 more minutes in photo shop could do it but in camera is always the way to go .

Thank you for teaching me a new skill in PP. I always believe that getting it right in the camera is best. However, most pictures benefit from a little PP.
