Bangee - your point is not without merit, it is however misapplied here. People who are expecting to be supported by others are accountable to the money source just the same as an employee is accountable to his employer. I had to take a drug test in order to gain employment. Am I not entitled to a reasonable assurance that the person I'm supporting through the taxes on the money I earn is not spending my money on drugs? Of course, there should be accountability at all levels. This situation, however, is one where a person has been forced to give up their health insurance which paid for the care, whatever that care may be, necessary to address the needs of a victim of a cruel handicap not of their own doing. They were then forced to enroll in a government mandated program, under the threat of financial penalty, which does not cover those needs. Hardly the same thing as paying for voluntary treatments or preventative medications.

I fail to see why it is misapplied here... this is exactly were it should be applied. No one is being ask to take a drug test here. I and others have ask why should a blind person need vision care, forced vision care, by law by our President and his democrat congress has forced upon us. This is not the first time that steve has posted about this same child born blind but it is not about the child, it is about a law that forces someone to pay for something that they do not need. I am sorry about the child born blind. I am sorry that my cousin has become blind to never see his grand children, but since Steve has brought it to our attention twice that I know of, and I can see how he feels about it - he thinks it stupid, so how do you feel about it? What kind of vision care does a blind person receive?
