What is your take on the Malaysian Airliner supposedly shot down near the Russian-Ukrainian border this morning?

The airliner was going from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur at 33,000 feet approaching the Russian border. That seems to say Russian missile.

Probably, instead, Russian separatists in Ukraine, as they've already shot down planes.
Using Russian missiles.

The Ukraine says it does not missiles capable of striking anything above 8000 feet. Also the Airliner was approaching Russian air space from the Ukraine and possibly mistaken for a Military aircraft.
I under stand that Obama and Putin were on the phone discussing the situation when the Air Liner was shot down.

I'm not going to jump to any conclusions like I normally
do, but I'm going to wait until I have more information.
I doubt the o'blabber administration will let us know
what really took place. It's very sad.

I'd like to know what's up with Malaysia all of a sudden...back in March, a Malaysian airliner was either shot down or high jacked over the Indian Ocean (never found) now one is shot down over the Russian-Ukraine border...is that just a coincidence?

I said, Russian missiles.
The Russian separatists are being supplied with Russian equipment.
The plane was following a flight plan the Russian government was aware of; this was a commercial passenger plane, not some private plane off course.

Don't forget that electronics exist which allow airliners to be hijacked from the ground and flown to any location. I'm guessing that's what happened to the earlier missing Malaysian airliner.

It' very suspicious the airliner was shot down close to the border of Ukraine and Russia. Was that a normal flight route?

I doubt that the Russian military shoots down unidentified planes.
Let's see who they try to blame this on.

Paul Craig Roberts suspects the airliner incident may be part of an attempt to persuade the EU to join in U.S. banking sanctions on Russia which so far Europe has refused to do.

He also points out that a similar plane carrying Putin was in that area in the same time frame so it could have been an attempt to assassinate Putin.

"Russia and the fighters operating in eastern Ukraine have nothing to gain by downing a civilian airliner, but absolutely everything to lose – thus pointing the finger in another direction – that of NATO and their proxy regime in Kiev. That the downed aircraft is yet another Malaysian Boeing 777 – the second one this year to be lost under extraordinary circumstances – has serendipitously gained maximum attention for propagandists across the West. They have the world’s full and undivided attention with which to pin the blame on Russia and anti-Kiev fighters in eastern Ukraine.

The impetus necessary to unite Europe and other Western allies behind NATO and the US for a more direct intervention in Ukraine where the West is currently floundering is now consuming headlines around the world. If the downing of MH17 was not a case of tragic misidentification, then answering the first question of any investigation, cui bono – or to whose benefit – is answered resoundingly with, 'NATO'.”

I can't fathom why a civilian airliner would be flying over an area with so much unrest.
