That would have been me. Thanks flytyer! You do great work  Got any Caddis? I hope others know what we're talking about. Tying, for me, was very relaxing and like you said awhile back, there's nothing like catching a fish on something you made yourself. Thanks again  8-)

nice looking kauffman rubberlegs stone flies, i caught a nice sized steelhead on one, 4 passes and the rubber legs wiggling drove him mad, and he hit with a vengeance

Thanks to everyone who replied. These flies were not easy to tie at all. I haven't tied any like this for quite a while. I'm setteling for easier versions lately. Maybe I should give them a try again since they do look so real.

I went fishing Tuesday and the fishing literally sucked. I got two hits that I missed, one fish got off and the one fish I did manage to land was too small to bother taking a picture of to show off.

Supposed to stop raining here tomorrow so we'll see what happens. I don't really like fishing with the crowds and Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays the rivers get busy. Maybe Monday or Tuesday next week if the weather holds.

Ah, your pix show my two favorites for April and May freestone trout streams in central PA. Just can't imagine EVER leaving home with them during those months. Your pix just make me want to reach into the screen and pick one of 'em up. Nice.

It is called "fishing" and not "catching."

Here's a pic of a fish that has one of my woolybuggers stuck in it's jaw.

No doubt how good a hush puppy would be... then again, I don't know anyone who can eat just one of them. Definitely a good choice for this lunch.
