Looking for the 'picture within the picture,' I finished this image two ways.

I'd be interested in your thoughts and opinions. Is one preferable to the other?

   Nice shot! I like the square one better. Thanks for showing.

Both deserve to be wall hangers Treepusher.

I think both are good and I can understand and appreciate what you are going for in #1...but I think in this instance I prefer #2...at least while I'm typing this...in 2 minutes I'll like #1 better...so they both must be good!!

I also like both of them! however after studying in download it is 2.

If I had only seen one of them either would be beautiful. In 1, the floating flowers appear to be trying to get out of the picture and distracts the eye from the bouquet.

I would hang either one on my wall. Love them. :-)

Thanks for your opinion, Sylvia. I think you're right, and number two seems the vote getter. Perhaps if I tried Linda's suggestion, maybe the first would work better.

Thanks for looking, it's much appreciated!

A t first I liked #2 better, but then I thought if there was a connecting leaf or stem between the two parts of the picture I think it would really make #1 stand out. I hope Martian will be happy with your choice. :-P

Thanks, Sirius_one. Appreciate your opinion, and I think you're right. I'll have to spend more time on getting those stems back.

As for Martian, any choice I make is irrelevant. Nothing less than world domination will ever make him happy, lol.

Thanks for looking!

I never vote early, so chiming in late...B for me. Both great pieces though.

I like 'em both, but No.2, is simpler and that appeals to me. (Some might say I'm simple minded).
I like the colors and they seem to balance better in No. 2.
Regardless, you could hang either on a wall to brighten a room.

Pierre

Thanks, Pierre. Appreciate your thoughts on this. Initially I liked the complete shot, the cascading effect of the flowers, but then thought hmm, what if I crop it... Big mistake. Simpler, stronger, more focused. But better? Different, yes. But better? Still don't know, tho the voting's running hard for the cropped version.

Thanks for your input, I do appreciate that. And simple minds are the best minds. Less clutter up there, lol.

First one looks natural and "wild" in the bush (or garden)....

Second one concentrates the colours and the eye focus.....

But they're both great!!

Thanks, Ron. Appreciate your thoughts on this. I could go either way, but I'm leaning to the cropped version as the better of the two.

Of course, that's tonight, and I may change my mind by the morning, lol.

Thanks for looking, appreciate the kind words and as always, the thumbs! : )

Really like the both Treepusher, but I like #2 the best, very nicely done, crop is perfect

Thanks, Gregory. Value your input on this one. As it stands, I think the cropped version is the better of the two. But might spend a bit more time with the full version, too, and see what happens.

Thanks very much for taking time to give your opinion on this. Much appreciated!

There is something about the 1st one that I really like, just not sure why I prefer it better than the 2nd - sorry I'm not much help, as to the reason..... ;)

Thanks for your thoughts, Stephie. I like the flow of the first, the full shot, a waterfall of flowers. Something appealing in that implied motion, and that's lacking in the second.

The second is more coherent, a better overall composition.

Might be an eye of the beholder thing, but appreciate your input here, and thanks very much for looking!

Thanks, Rlaugh. Glad to have your thoughts on this. As posted, I agree with you, and think the cropped shot is the better of the two. With a bit more work, the full image might be best. But we'll see what I can do with it.

Thanks for taking time to offer your opinion, it's much appreciated!

Thanks, James. The polls are still open, lol, and I appreciate you taking the time to cast a vote. B seems to be winning by a landslide, so you're with the great majority on this.

But it ain't over till it's over, and there are a few precincts yet to be heard from. : )

Thanks for looking and offering your opinion, much valued!

I like the first one. It flows. Others might like it better, too if you flipped it horizontally so the flow would be from left to right instead of right to left.
