Looking for the 'picture within the picture,' I finished this image two ways.

I'd be interested in your thoughts and opinions. Is one preferable to the other?

I like the second one. I think the composition is better.

Thank you, Wayne-03. Appreciate your vote. The second, tighter image gives a more coherent feel to the shot, a single bouquet of flowers. Still, I like the curve and flow of the first. Can't decide.

Thanks for looking and offering your opinion!

#2 for me, Randy :) Very pleasing composition and colors, and of course super effects!

In #1, the "floating" flowers distract a bit. Maybe if a hint more of the stems were included?

I like the flower cascade but both are worthy and beautiful.

Thanks, Linda. I thought much the same thing, but dithered over including the stems up above. The tighter crop seemed best, but it changes the character of the image. Couldn't decide, lol.

Thanks for the suggestion and your help!

Thanks for the help, CarlySue. I don't have any waterfall shots in my archives, thought that would make a nice background for the flowing flowers. Maybe I can find a stock image to use.

Cropped, there's a whole different feel to this. I can't decide between the two which to go forward with.

Thanks for looking, always much appreciated!

Just to make it hard for you to choose , I like them both...but seriously I prefer the closeness and merging of the flowers in number 2. Excellent work as always.

Thanks for your input, Angler. The more I looked at the entire image, the more I thought about cropping the flower cluster by itself. I did so, and thought it worked better than the original, altho it does change the feel of the shot.

Thanks for visiting, always appreciate the advice!

I also like both of them! however after studying in download it is 2.

If I had only seen one of them either would be beautiful. In 1, the floating flowers appear to be trying to get out of the picture and distracts the eye from the bouquet.

I would hang either one on my wall. Love them. :-)

A t first I liked #2 better, but then I thought if there was a connecting leaf or stem between the two parts of the picture I think it would really make #1 stand out. I hope Martian will be happy with your choice. :-P

I like 'em both, but No.2, is simpler and that appeals to me. (Some might say I'm simple minded).
I like the colors and they seem to balance better in No. 2.
Regardless, you could hang either on a wall to brighten a room.

First one looks natural and "wild" in the bush (or garden)....

Second one concentrates the colours and the eye focus.....

But they're both great!!

Really like the both Treepusher, but I like #2 the best, very nicely done, crop is perfect

There is something about the 1st one that I really like, just not sure why I prefer it better than the 2nd - sorry I'm not much help, as to the reason..... ;)
